celebration of National Night Out The Kingston Police Department will be celebrating National Night Out on August 3, 2010 from 6 to 9 pm. We will be utilizing the new pavilion and celebrating our partnership with the community. Come meet other members of the community, see our crime prevention displays, get information from Community and County organizations, and have dinner with the kids. What a great way to spend a summer evening. So join us in the park for food, fun, and fellowship. We look forward to seeing you! |

Adventure ... Astronomy! The Kingston Public Library is hosting the Truman D. Anderson Discovery Center's summer program for astronomy. On Monday, July 12, will be an introduction to astronomy. Wednesday, July 14, will be a tour of the observatory. Friday, July 17, will consist of moon and planet viewing. For more information, contact the Kingston Public Library. |

Kingston Police Department Supports the RC
Blessing House![]() The Kingston Police Department is actively supporting the Roane County Blessing House. The Blessing House is a non-profit organization helping troubled, abused, and needy children in Roane County. We are providing much needed storage space for them at our Training Facility while they actively look for a permanent house. Sgt. Troy Wright is our point of contact between the Blessing House and the Police Department. They also have a page on Facebook that gives more details about the organization. | Kingston
Receives 1.44 Million in Grants for Projects The city of Kingston has received word from the U.S. Rural Development Administration that it will receive a series of grants and low interest loans for various infrastructure projects which have been planned for several years. A letter of conditions will be presented to city officials on February 25 at City Hall. Together with other projects Kingston expects to receive about $11,000,000 in grant funds this year.
