Eleanor Neal

Ms. Neal has been an employee of the City of Kingston for almost 29 years and has served as City Clerk for over 23 of those years.  Her duties have included a multitude of responsibilities, for including Purchasing and Accounts Payable; Property Tax Clerk; Payroll Clerk; several months as Secretary to the City Manager and City Council.  She prepares minutes for City Council meetings as well as the Beer Board and Water Board.  She is responsible for Agendas/Packets for the Planning Commission; and also serves as Assistant to the Fiscal Officer. 

Ms. Neal is a member of First Baptist Church in Kingston where she has served as a pre-school Sunday school teacher and as a member of the hospitality committee for several years.  She supports the local schools’ sports activities and programs. 

On September 19, 2007, Eleanor received the State of Tennessee Clerk of the Year award in Franklin, Tennessee and three years ago was the recipient of the State of Tennessee Distinguished Service award.  She is one of two clerks in the state to receive both honors.
